Bill Madden, who has been covering baseball for the New York Daily News for more than 30 years, says this 2009 Yankee team has a different vibe to it and has a much looser clubhouse. Hey, whatever ... as long as they keep winning, nobody will care if they throw pies at each other or blast music in the locker room. Here is a link to the Madden story:

The '70s Yanks fought like crazy and won. That's all that mattered. The '90s Yanks were a close group but were also "all business" and won. That's all that mattered.
The post-2003 Yanks have been "all business," have not been close, and haven't won much at all. That's all they'll be remembered for. This team? Let it find its own identity. The team they ran out there the last few years certainly felt pretty stale.

Those 90s teams were all business BUT they were all close...friends...loose in a personal sense. CC and Swisher seem to have brought a leadership calm while AJ has brought back the fun...and that allows DJ to be the Captain and ARod to hide in his locker. This team has a great vibe to it...
