The great and mighty Washington Nationals - considered to be one of the worst baseball teams of all-time - just took two of three from the Yankees at home. I could not name you one guy on their entire team, and they kicked our ass. Joba, though not awful, loses again. Gardner nearly knocks himself out cold. A-Rod continues to struggle. Swept by Boston, then very, very lucky to have gotten two of three from the Mets ... and now this. The hot streak of May and early June is cleary over. We need to crank it up again. Now.

A-Rod's grace period is over. He's been back for more than a month now. He needs to start hitting like a cleanup hitter making $25 million a year.
Shut out tonight. Unreal.
A-Rod is underperforming but so is most of the team. Besides the occasional blow out like the 15-0 game against Santana last weekend the only guy who is consistent is Texiera. They cannot continue to lose games 3-2.
I'm surprised how much A-Rod is struggling, especially since things are pretty quiet around him. The "A-Rod" book looks like it is a total bust and nobody is talking about it, and he isn't getting booed on the road any more than usual or any more than any of the other Yankee stars. Considering what went down in February and March, I'm sure he was expecting much worse. You'd think he'd be on fire at the plate.
I had the opportunity, I won't say pleasure of watching 2 of the 3 games on YES and the replay of the first game and "I don't believe what I just saw"! I have not seen a major league team come into a series so not ready to play as our Yankees. They played with absolutly for fire to win. It looked like they just went through the motions to get thisn series out of the way so they could get to Florida. You have to place the blame on Joe Girardi for not getting these guys up for this series. This is one of those "Bite me in the ass" series that will haunt the Yankees down the stretch. AWFUL! By the way, I think Damon needs to find a new brand of bats.
