I am concerned about the guy being 300 pounds, but he is tough, he does win, he is a lefty, and he is supposed to be one of the nicest guys in the game. There will be no "Don't talk back to me" Randy Johnson type incident when he comes to New York. It's a ton of money, but it's not my money, and all I care about is that the Yankees win, so what do I care how much he makes. Pencil in 17 wins, or better, and 200 innings. I'll take it.
Now, I want MORE pitching and another big bat to compliment A-Rod. He needs some real protection in the lineup, like when he had Sheff batting behind him. I mean a real big thumper. Texiera? Manny? Whoever ... don't care. I just want another 35 HR, 100 RBI guy hitting in the five spot. - Mel
