Here's a great newspaper photo of Yogi Berra from the last game at Yankee Stadium on Sunday. As I said in the previous post, it was one of the most moving moments of the night.

The scary thing about today is that I am usually trying to guess when the world series is ending so I can see the parade if the Yanks win.
The finality of the stadium and the season without playoffs makes me sick to my stomach.
I hear you, dude. For about the past eight years, I almost always took the third week of October off from work. That way, if the Yanks were in the ALCS or World Series, I could stay up late and watch the games, watch all of the post-game stuff, then pick up and read all of the NYC papers the next day, listen to WFAN all day, and "prepare" for that night's game. (Yes, this also included a few of my own superstitious Yankee rituals.)
This year, I didn't even bother to put in for the time off.
A Yank-less October totally sucks, but Jeter said it best last night: "We just weren't good enough."
